Meet Niki

Dr. Nicola was born in Davis, California. Her love for horses began at the age of five and has continued throughout her youth and adult life. She developed great appreciation for the Arabian breed after spending 11 years of her childhood in Iran. At the age of 13 she moved to Germany where she continued her riding. Upon completing High School in Germany, she moved back to Davis, California to attend the University of California, Davis for her undergraduate studies in Nutrition and Physiology.

A skiing accident in 1989 exposed Dr. Nicola to physical therapy while rehabilitating a torn knee ligament. Shortly there after, recognizing her passion for this profession, she decided to attend the University of Miami where she received her Master's of Science in Physical Therapy.

After 15 years of practice she decided to further her education at the University of St. Augustine, FL. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in December 2010. Dr. Nicola was able to merge her love for horses and passion for physical wellness by becoming a Certified Equine Rehabilitation through the Animal Rehab Institute in Wellington, FL.
